What is RIDE UNITED?
RIDE UNITED helps with short-term transportation when there are no other options. Currently, only four categories of assistance are available, including rides to and from:
- Pre-employment appointments (job fairs, fingerprinting, drug and skill assessments/screenings, final interviews, etc.)
- First weeks of a job that pays you enough to take care of yourself and those you love.
- Short-term job readiness and workforce development programs (community college or community-based).
Rides are also available to and from vaccine appointments and other medical (mental and physical) visits to professionals (limited to 10 single-way rides or 5 round trips).
